Job summary

UC Davis Health seeks an Assistant Manager to guide Sterile Processing 48X staff in delivering high‑quality service for patient care equipment and instruments. You will oversee decontamination, sterilization, assembly, and distribution while ensuring efficiency and adherence to standards.

The role requires strong knowledge of AAMI guidelines, CMS/TJC requirements, and budget awareness, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and excellent customer service for internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Base Certification CRCST or CSPDT and ongoing CEU maintenance.
• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years sterile processing experience; 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Familiarity with AAMI, CMS, TJC, AORN, APIC standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Sterile Processing 48X staff to ensure quality service.
• Lead collection, decontamination, sterilization, and distribution workflows.
• Model customer service and maintain departmental budgets.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and safety standards.
