Job summary

Stanford Health Care is seeking an Assistant Manager for the Sterile Processing Department across Ambulatory Perioperative Sites. You will support daily operations, staff development, and policy implementation to ensure safe patient care and operational efficiency.

Under the Director, you will oversee staffing, lean coaching, and cross-department collaboration to optimize processes and information flow within the Sterile Processing Services.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s degree (preferred).
• At least 1 year of progressive related experience.
• Knowledge of Surgical Instrument Care, Cleaning, Handling, Wrapping and Sterilization.
• Familiarity with Instrument Assembly/Case Cart and Supply Processing.
• Ability to communicate effectively across all levels and prepare clear reports.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day operational management of Sterile Processing Department across Ambulatory Perioperative Sites.
• Support manager in evaluating and executing Sterile Processing Services functions.
• Assist in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
• Help oversee information systems, records and reports for the department.
