Job summary

Stanford Health Care seeks an Assistant Manager to support day-to-day operations of the Sterile Processing Department across Ambulatory Perioperative sites. You will report to the Sterile Processing Department Manager and collaborate with OR Managers to ensure safe patient care and efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
• At least one year of progressively responsible related experience.
• Knowledge of sterile processing, instrument care, decontamination, and sterilization.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff at all levels.
• Knowledge of regulatory standards and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Performs duties following SHC policies and Sterile Processing SOPs.
• Operates decontamination, cleaning, and sterilization equipment.
• Assists in policy development aligning with SHC goals.
• Helps manage departmental information, reports, and records.
• Supports staffing decisions and staff development.
• Coaches frontline staff with lean learning initiatives.
