Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Central Sterile Reprocessing Department (CSPD) Manager to lead CSPD operations at East Ann Arbor Surgery Center, Kellogg Eye Center, and Ypsilanti Health Center. You will plan, organize, and direct reprocessing and distribution of instrumentation, collaborating with Ambulatory Care, OR leaders, nursing, and support services to ensure readiness and safety.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum 5 years in Central Sterile Processing/Surgical Services including 3 years in a supervisory role.
Comprehensive knowledge of aseptic practices, instrumentation, sterilization and decontamination processes.
Certification through CBSPD or HSPA.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel; process improvement and quality initiatives experience.
Strong interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills with diverse stakeholders.
Experience with accreditation readiness and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

Plan, organize and direct CSPD operations across multiple sites.
Lead staff development, onboarding, performance planning and coaching.
Ensure sterile processing policies are current and followed; maintain safe, clean environments.
Oversee instrument tracking, quality indicators and adherence to regulations.
Prepare and present monthly activity reports and contribute to transformation initiatives.
