Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Sterile Processing Logistics Manager to coordinate instrument flow across SPD, OR, ASC, and offsite reprocessing locations. You will ensure timely delivery, accurate tracking, and efficient turnaround to support surgical schedules.

Responsibilities include liaison with SPD, perioperative services, supply chain, OEMs, and vendors; overseeing instrument repair logistics, tray building, inventory levels, and depot operations; and collaborating

Qualifications

• Graduate of high school or GED required.
• CRCST – HSPA or CBSPD certification required or must maintain certification.
• Minimum of 4 years of sterile processing experience in sterile processing and/or leadership role and/or Operating Room.
• Knowledge of sterilization principles, microbiology, and infection prevention practices.
• Knowledge of instrument names, functions, and specialty sets.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic computer proficiency for documentation and recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate flow of surgical instruments across SPD, OR, ASC, and offsite locations.
• Ensure timely delivery, tracking, and turnaround of instrumentation.
• Liaise with SPD, perioperative services, supply chain, OEMs and external vendors.
• Oversee instrument repair logistics, tray building, tray inventory levels, and instrument depot operations.
• Collaborate with SPD site managers on budget planning and with OR coordinators to align instrumentation needs with case demand.
