Health First in Florida seeks a Sterile Processing Supervisor to drive quality, no-harm outcomes and efficient daily operations. You’ll lead a multi-skilled team, coordinate instrument readiness, and support OR personnel to ensure timely case completion.

The role emphasizes staff scheduling, training, confidentiality, policy compliance, and accurate documentation. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential to deliver safe patient care and regulatory adherence.

Formación

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certification from IAHCSMM preferred.
• Must be able to read and write in the English language for effective communication and record keeping.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Knowledgeable of computers.
• Sound organizational skills to include time management and problem solving.

Responsabilidades

• Serves as an expert resource by leading a multi-skilled team with team-building and communication skills.
• Securely maintains confidential information, personnel files, supporting documents and all other personnel matters as required by law.
• Assures that mandatory programs are completed by associates.
• Coordinates resources: Interviews, hires and disciplines associates as appropriate.
• Professional development of staff.
• In-service training programs.
• Guides associates to areas of production priority based on customer needs, work volume.
• Ensure adequate staffing for each shift and administer housekeeping duties within the department.
• Performs decontamination, proper assembly, wrapping, sterilizing and distribution functions of instrumentation within quality standards.
• Maintains instrument counts, records, and manuals.
• Discusses changes with OR supervisor(s) and surgeons for efficient use of time and materials.
• Maintains backup instruments and orders through Contract and Supply Chain.
• Attends scheduled meetings and committees; demonstrates initiative in preparing supplies and instruments.
