Job summary

AdventHealth in Orlando, FL is seeking a Central Sterile Supervisor/Sterile Processing professional. You will lead shift operations, ensure safe work practices, monitor sterilization, and coordinate instrument supply and inventory across decontamination, tray assembly, and sterilization.

Role requires knowledge of instrumentation, processing procedures, and the ability to train new staff, while maintaining infection control standards and collaborating with OR teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; high school diploma required.
• 1+ year experience preferred in related field.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required; BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as shift charge person in absence of department leadership.
• Oversees instrument inventory and supplies; ensures PPE and infection control standards.
• Operates sterilization equipment and selects appropriate IFU-based methods.
• Monitors sterilization parameters and maintains accurate records.
• Responds to problem calls and communicates with hospital team.
• Rotates assignments across decontamination, tray assembly, sterilization, and equipment management.
• Trains new staff on responsibilities and protocols.
• Liaises with OR for instrument issues.
