Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Sterile Processing Supervisor to lead the decontamination, instrument assembly and case cart areas on the Main Campus in Tampa. You will ensure efficient workflow and compliance with department policies while coordinating with OR staff and vendors.

Responsibilities include monitoring staffing, analyzing data, and implementing improvements, with a focus on Culture Care behavioral expectations in daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D required.
• Four (4) years sterile processing and/or operating room experience required.
• CIS (Certified Instrument Specialist) certification required.
• Two (2) years of sterile processing supervisory experience or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to directs, lead & discipline staff.
• Proficient with MS Office products & MMIS to run reports, analyze data, & present information in clear format.
• Demonstrates higher level of knowledge of inventory, stocking, dispensing, & processing of medical supplies.

Responsibilities

• Lead decontamination, instrument assembly and wrapping, processing, and case cart areas.
• Monitor staff performance and productivity requirements.
• Monitor daily flow and needs from Surgical Service, hospital floors, and clinics.
• Interact with operating room staff, floor staff, medical staff, and vendors.
• Collect and analyze departmental data; propose and implement process improvements.
