Job summary

Keck Hospital of USC is seeking a Sterile Processing Department (SPD) Manager to plan, direct, and manage all areas of the SPD including Decontamination, Sterile Preparation, and RME processing across the HealthCare System.

The role requires 5+ years in an OR/acute hospital setting, CRCST certification, and strong leadership and communication skills to train staff and ensure adherence to infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program with CRCST certification.
• Minimum 5 years of OR/acute hospital experience.
• Knowledge of Central Sterile Processing, instrument management, and inventory.
• Strong communication and leadership skills with ability to train staff.
• Ability to work with physicians and hospital staff in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct SPD operations including decontamination, sterilization, and preparation.
• Plan staff orientation, training, and continuing education within SPD.
• Ensure compliance with infection control standards and accreditation requirements.
• Monitor inventory, equipment, budgets, and staffing to meet patient care needs.
• Collaborate with hospital departments and surgical services to optimize workflows.
