Job summary

Responsibilities

• Supervise SPD personnel handling decontamination, cleaning, processing, assembling, storing and distributing sterile trays.
• Plan and assign daily work according to requirements and staff capabilities.
• Coordinate equipment needs for scheduled cases and prioritize sterilization according to OR schedule.
• Ensure SPD documentation complies with JCAHO and infection control standards.
• Monitor inventory and costs, maintain equipment logs, and ensure repairs or replacements as needed.
• Liaise between SPD and OR staff to support patient care and safety.
