Job summary

UVA Health System in Charlottesville, VA is seeking a Sterile Processing Department (SPD) leader to assure daily operations meet regulatory standards and hospital guidelines. You will supervise SPD staff, assign workload, develop SOPs, monitor attendance, and drive performance improvement initiatives across the department.

You will collaborate with OR leadership and clinic leaders, track performance data, mentor staff, and ensure the SP tracking system is utilized for reporting and process

Qualifications

• 3 years progressive leadership experience within sterile processing, preferably in a hospital setting.
• 3 years’ experience working within sterile processing.
• CRCST or CSPDT certification required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise SPD personnel and provide direct supervision.
• Hire, evaluate performance and develop staff; set criteria/expectations.
• Assign workload, review time off, ensure coverage; enforce SOPs.
