Job summary

CommonSpirit Health is hiring a Central Service Lead Technician to oversee instrument processing and supply sterilization ensuring patient-ready tools for routine and emergency procedures. You will guide the department workload, uphold quality indicators, and support operational efficiency across daily activities.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may require Central Service Technician certification within the first year.

Qualifications

High school education or equivalent.
Central Service Technician Certificate or may obtain within first year.
Experience in supervision or coaching of other staff.

Responsibilities

Prioritize and organize the daily workload to maintain high productivity and smooth workflow.
Accurately assemble trays, single instruments, and various supplies according to policy.
Inspect instrumentation for cleanliness, sharpness, and functionality.
Operate decontamination and sterilization equipment following safety protocols.
Monitor biological indicators to ensure sterilization integrity.
Lead picking and wanding of surgical supplies to prevent delays.
Provide training, coaching and competency sign-offs for staff.
Oversee day-to-day departmental operations and ensure timely completion.
