Job summary

Lallie Kemp Regional Medical Center in Southeast Louisiana seeks a Central Service Supervisor to coordinate the daily operations of the Central Service Department. Qualifications

• Two years of experience in housekeeping in a healthcare setting or in sterilizing, processing, assembling, or distributing medical supplies.
• Experience substitutions: every 30 semester hours earned counts as one year of experience toward the required experience.
• Knowledge of inventory systems and liaison with OR nursing leadership.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the OR RN Manager to ensure quality of care in instrument and equipment processing including cleaning, decontamination, assembly, packaging, sterilization and distribution.
• Supervise employees and serve as a resource to resolve problems and answer questions.
• Maintain online inventory and material stock requests in the PeopleSoft system.
• Enter, maintain and delete records in the online PeopleSoft Inventory Receipt Program.
• Act as liaison between the Central Service Department and other LKMC departments, customers and vendors.
