Pay range: $18.85 - $24.50 / hour

To supervise the daily operations of the department. To demonstrate team leadership qualities, identify improvement opportunities and assist in the development of processes. To provide services to any area that requires reprocessing of sterile instrumentation. To clean, assemble and sterilize instrument sets for surgery. To assemble and organize case carts for surgery. To stock supplies and perform biological testing of sterilizers. To operate all sterilization equipment.
High School diploma or equivalent and previous experience in Sterile Supply required. Must currently hold either the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician (CSPDT) certification from the Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or the Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) certification from the Healthcare Sterile Processing Association (HSPA). In addition, candidates must be certified or eligible for certification in Certified Sterile Processing Management (CSPM) by the CBSPD. If not already certified, this certification must be obtained within two (2) years of hire into the classification.
