BayCare Health System in Winter Haven seeks a Sterile Processing Tech to perform decontamination, prep, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation, following established procedures.

The role also includes acting as a preceptor and resource to the department team, helping ensure sterile processing workflows meet quality and safety standards. Must obtain certification within 24 months of hire and prefer hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Certification as a Sterile Processing Tech is preferred.
• Hospital experience is preferred.

Sterile Processing Tech - Noncert Responsibilities

• Responsible for the decontamination, prepping, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department following established department procedures.
• Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource in support of department team members.
