Job summary

BayCare Health System, Surgery-PR LEASE TRIN, is seeking a Certified Sterile Processing Technician for the BayCare Surg Ctr. This PRN role involves dayshift coverage with varying hours. The technician performs decontamination, prep, packaging and sterilization of instrumentation, and serves as a mentor to the department team.

Required high school or equivalent and certifications (CRCST, HSPA, CBSPDT). Hospital experience is preferred to support sterile processing and adherence to standards.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent is required.
• CRCST, HSPA and CBSPDT certifications are required/preferred.
• Experience in hospital settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of decontamination, preparation, packaging and sterilization techniques is essential.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for decontamination, prepping, packaging and sterilization of all instrumentation processed through the department.
• Acts as preceptor, mentor and resource to department team members.
• Adheres to sterilization standards, policies and procedures and maintains compliance with recognized standards.
