Job summary

Belmar Pharma Solutions is seeking a Sterile Compounding Technician to interpret formula worksheets and compound medications using approved equipment under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities include maintaining sterile processes and ensuring HIPAA privacy.

The role emphasizes adherence to SOPs, precision in weighing and labeling, and maintaining clean room standards per USP 797/800.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Registration with state as a licensed technician is required on hire.
• Compounding/lab experience preferred.
• Must read and follow SOPs and guidelines.
• Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Must wear compounding PPE for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Measures, weighs, counts, and compounds medications.
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations according to formulation logs.
• Maintains accurate patient records with lot numbers and expiration dates.
• Maintains storage and security conditions for drugs.
• Preparation and compounding of sterile products.
• Maintain clean room to USP 797/800 requirements.
• Follow aseptic techniques in BSC and LAFW.
• Complete Hand Hygiene and Garbing qualification.
• Inventory management and proper documentation.
• Sterilize equipment and glassware with ovens/autoclaves.
• Adhere to quality standards and efficiency metrics.
• Protect HIPAA confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

This positionis responsible for interpreting formula worksheets and compounding medication using approved equipment and aseptic processes. Techniciansare responsible forcleaning andmaintainingthe compoundingequipment. All duties are performed under the supervision of a Lead Technician and a licensed pharmacist. Responsibilities

• Measures, weighs, counts, and compounds medications
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations according to formulation logs
• Establishes andmaintainsaccuratepatient records by entering correct lot numbers andexpirationdates of compounded medications
• Maintains proper storage and security conditions for drugs
• Preparation and compounding of sterile products
• Maintaining the pharmacy clean room suite to USP 797 and USP 800 requirements
• Experience with following aseptic techniques in BSC and LAFW
• Capable of successfully completing Hand Hygiene and Garbing qualification
• Experience using a repeater pump
• Inventory management and storage, completeappropriate documentation, such as labels, logsheetsand reports
• Clean equipment and sterilize glassware using dry heat ovens or autoclaves
• Performs toestablishedefficiency metrics while adhering to quality standards
• Maintains compliance with Company and HIPAA patient confidentiality requirements
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to read, understand SOPs and all guidelines as they relate to the process
• Registration with state as a licensed technician isrequiredupon hire
• Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred
• Excellent attention to detail
• An awareness of health and safety regulations
• Ability to work as a part of a team in a fast-pace environment
• Must be able to work in a variety of positions locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reach, and walking, for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to use necessary equipment such as computers, scanners, or other technology devices as assigned
• Potential exposure to chemicals used in preparation of compounds (some chemicals are classified as toxic and special safety precautions must be taken when working with these chemicals)
• Must be able to wear required compounding safety equipment forlong periodsof time whenrequired
