Job summary

Belmar Pharma Solutions seeks a NonSterileCompounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Utah. You will accurately measure, mix, and package non-sterile compounds, working with pharmacists to ensure high-quality patient care.

The role requires attention to detail, proficiency with compounding equipment, and knowledge of USP 795/800 guidelines. Strong adherence to confidentiality and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB preferred if state requirements allow.
• Experience with compounding and/or laboratory work is preferred.
• Ability to read and understand SOPs and guidelines related to the process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of applicable pharmacy rules and regulations.
• Follow company policies and procedures.

As aNonSterileCompounding Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in our pharmacy team, specializing in the preparation of customized medication formulations. Your responsibilities will include accurately measuring, mixing, and packaging non-sterile compounds according to specific prescriptions and quality standards. You will work closely with pharmacists to ensure the highest level of patient care,maintainclean and organized workspaces, and adhere to safety protocols.Proficiencyin using compounding equipment,a strongattention to detail, and a commitment tomaintainingconfidentiality and compliance with regulatory requirements are essential for this role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a working knowledge of applicable pharmacy rules and regulations
• Follow all policies and procedures set forth by the company
• Strong comprehension of USP 795 and USP 800
• Havea strong working knowledge of pharmacy software
• Prioritize and prepare formula and compounding records
• Compound medications accurately and efficiently

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to work in a variety of positions locations such as sitting, standing, squatting, kneeling, reach, and walking, for prolonged periods of time
• Potential exposure to chemicals used in the preparation of compounds (some chemicals are classified as toxic and special safety precautions must be taken when working with these chemicals)
• Must be able to use necessary equipment and software such as computers, scanners, or othertechnologydevices as assigned
• Must be able to wear required compounding safety equipment forlong periodsof time whenrequired

Qualifications

• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may substitute.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• PTCB certificationpreferredif not a state requirement
• Compounding and/or laboratory experience preferred
• Must be able to read, understand SOPs and all guidelines as they relate to the process
