Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Clinical Coordinator for Pharmacy Sterile Compounding Services at Akron General Medical Center. You will oversee sterile compounding operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead competency and quality assurance initiatives.

The role requires a PharmD, active licensure, and BC/ASHP sterile compounding credentials, with PGY2 or PGY1 residency plus years of experience in the specialty. Days shift, on-site at Akron General.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited university.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist or eligible within 90 days.
• Board-Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist credential or ASHP certification within 6 months.
• Completion of PGY2 with 1+ year of relevant experience OR PGY1 with 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of pharma care experience in the relevant specialty.

Responsibilities

• Oversee sterile compounding operations and regulatory readiness.
• Lead staff education, competency assessments, and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain documentation for Joint Commission, Board of Pharmacy, and other inspections.
• Coordinate environmental monitoring, cleaning verification, and certification requirements.
• Provide staffing coverage across Akron General system locations as needed.
