Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Professional Educator License or Substitute Teacher License or Educator License with Stipulations (TBE/PARA).
• Experience in special education settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom activities, assignments and materials to support objectives.
• Administers tests and homework to support teachers.
• Administers immediate first aid and medical assistance as needed.
• Assists medically fragile students with personal hygiene.
• Attends meetings and trainings to improve job performance.
• Communicates with staff and parents to update on progress and IEP goals.
• Implements behavioral plans designed by IEP team.
• Maintains instructional materials and records for mandated requirements.
• Monitors students to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Provides instructional support to individuals and small groups.
