NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk in Suffolk, NY seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Medical Step Down Unit. The role involves delivering professional nursing care per physician plans to support patient well-being and family involvement.

Responsibilities include data collection, assessment, care planning and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, with emphasis on safety, documentation, and patient-centered outcomes.

Competenze

• Two-year nursing program completed at an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current New York State Registered Nurse license and BLS certification.
• ACLS and de-escalation training; TCAR certification (SICU/PACU) within first year; PALS/TNCC where applicable.

Mansioni

• Collect patient health data with patient, family and other health care providers.
• Perform initial assessment based on patient presentation and document findings.
• Develop and implement a plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
