Job summary

Memorial Hospital, part of Southern Illinois Healthcare, seeks a professional nurse to provide full-time care to SIH patients in a fast-paced setting. You will assess patient needs, plan and implement care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality outcomes.

The ideal candidate holds an Illinois RN license, has or will obtain CPR/BLS within 1 year of hire, and can float to other units as needed.

Qualifications

• RN licensure required for Illinois.
• CPR/BLS certification within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patient and families.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate an individualized care plan with the care team.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote optimal health.
• Demonstrate clinical judgement and critical thinking in patient care.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in patient records.
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency.
