Job summary
Southern Illinois Healthcare is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care for SIH patients. The role requires an RN license in Illinois, current CPR/BLS, and ACLS/PALS with timelines.

Qualifications
- Accredited nursing degree at least Associate level or higher.
- Current Illinois RN license is required.
- CPR/BLS certification must be current.
- ACLS and PALS certifications required within specified timelines.
- TNCC or TNS required within 1 year or residency graduation; effective 6/2026.
- ECRN within 24 months; effective 6/2026.
- NRP and related certificates as listed (within 6 months).
Responsibilities
- Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
- Provide compassionate environment to support patients and families.
- Collaborate with the health care team to plan and evaluate care.
- Provide health teaching and counseling to promote health.
- Exercise clinical judgment and monitor for changes in patient condition.
- Document accurately in the medical record in a timely manner.
- Contribute to policy and procedure development to support safety and quality.
- Supervise licensed practical nurses or unlicensed staff as needed.
- Communicate with health professionals to advocate for patients.
- Complete required education and licensure on schedule.
- Float to other SIH units within competency.
