Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a STEM Manager – Community Programs to lead community-based STEM initiatives, including the Artificial Intelligence Pathways Institute (AIPI). The role partners with schools and community organizations to deliver engaging programs for youth and to ensure grant compliance.

Responsibilities include program operations, curriculum development, participant recruitment, and staff supervision, with occasional evenings and weekend

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, STEM, Social Work, Human Services, Public Administration, nonprofit management, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience managing youth, education, STEM, or community-based programs.
• Experience working with schools and community partners.
• Strong organizational, project management, and communication skills.
• Staff supervision and grant-funded program experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and data management systems.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout the BGCWPA service area.
• Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee community-based STEM programs, including AIPI and other assigned initiatives.
• Develop or implement engaging STEM curriculum and programming.
• Support programming at schools, partner organizations, and other community locations.
• Coordinate participant recruitment, enrollment, attendance, and retention.
• Stay current on emerging STEM technologies, including artificial intelligence tools and software.
• Monitor program quality and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with schools, community organizations, employers, and other partners.
• Represent BGCWPA at community meetings and events as needed.
• Track program outcomes, grant requirements, budgets, and required documentation.
• Maintain accurate program and participant records.
• Support grant reporting, data collection, and outcome measurement.
• Supervise, coach, and support assigned program staff.
• Assist with staff onboarding, scheduling, training, and development.
