Job summary

STEM Coding Lab is a Pittsburgh nonprofit focused on expanding economic mobility through CS/AI education for K–8 students. We are seeking a Director of Education to lead curriculum curation, instructor training, and program evaluation to ensure high-quality, equitable learning opportunities.

You will oversee curriculum design, assessment protocols, and coaching of staff while collaborating with leadership to advance organizational goals and grant-funded initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education or related field.
• 4–7 years in education with at least 2 years supervising direct reports.
• Experience designing CS/AI curriculum desirable.
• Nonprofit or mission-driven setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a rigorous educational program, ensuring quality and alignment with mission.
• Lead curriculum development and regular content reviews with the Program Committee.
• Design and implement instructor training and ongoing professional development.
• Conduct classroom and program observations, provide actionable feedback and coaching.
• Measure program impact, track student outcomes, and report to leadership and grant funders.
