Job summary

Montgomery County Community College is seeking a Part-time Challenger Learning Center Facilitator to assist with daily mission programming, both in person and online, leveraging campus resources for STEM extension activities. The role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays as needed.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and at least one year of related experience with computer-assisted instruction or youth education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in classroom and/or informal educational settings using computer-assisted instruction preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily facilitative support with Challenger Center simulations in-person and virtually.
• Facilitate STEM‑Extension Activities with students in grades 5–8.
• Conduct program-related student and community workshops.
• Maintain knowledge of technology used in Challenger Center and STEM programming; ensure safe learning environments.
• Represent the Challenger Learning Center and MCCC at fairs and outreach events.
• Provide Challenger Center administrative support as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
