Job summary

Ovelle in Boston is seeking a Stem Cell Scientist to optimize and execute iPSC differentiation protocols, critical to advancing in vitro oogenesis. You will lead efforts to identify regulators of ovarian cell fate and develop 3D ovarian organoids, collaborating with bioinformatics to analyze RNA sequencing data.

Qualifications

• PhD or track record of innovation with focus on stem cell biology and differentiation protocols.
• Experience with human pluripotent stem cells and directed differentiation protocols.
• Proficiency in genetic engineering techniques including plasmid design and cloning, CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing, and gene delivery systems.
• Experience with flow cytometry, FACS and immunofluorescence microscopy including data analysis.
• Familiarity with sequencing technologies, particularly single-cell RNA-seq, and basic bioinformatics skills.
• Proven ability to execute complex, multi-step cell culture protocols and 3D organoid systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead optimization and execution of iPSC differentiation protocols.
• Design transcription factor screening experiments to identify key regulators of ovarian cell fate.
• Develop and characterize 3D ovarian organoids by co-culturing iPSC-derived granulosa-like cells with meiotic oogonia.
• Collaborate with bioinformatics to interpret bulk and single-cell RNA sequencing data.
