Job summary

The Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research is seeking a Research Associate III in the Stem Cell Lab (IPSCl) within the SOM Center to advance iPSC culture, organoid model development, and related assays. You will work with cross-disciplinary teams to drive reproducible methods and high-quality data generation in a fast-paced biomedical research setting.

Responsibilities include planning and executing complex experiments, leading technical components of projects, developing new culture

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years relevant experience; U.S. equivalency for foreign degrees.
• 8 years of progressively responsible experience.
• Expertise in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology.
• Ability to plan, troubleshoot, and optimize complex laboratory experiments.
• Experience with data analysis, quality control, and scientific documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and coordinate iPSC culture, differentiation, and organoid model development.
• Lead technical components of projects and collaborate with researchers.
• Develop, validate, and implement new iPSC culture and organoid methods with QC.
• Establish standardized workflows and QC criteria for iPSC lines and organoids.
• Troubleshoot experiments and adapt protocols as needed.
• Perform molecular and cellular characterization (flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry, qPCR).
• Prepare technical reports, SOPs, and training materials.
