Job summary

Black Rocket Productions LLC in New York seeks an enthusiastic Lead Instructor for our Saturday program. You will lead a class of up to 12 students solo, or 25 with an assistant, guiding them through technology-based activities and hands-on projects.

The role offers PAID training, no formal experience required, and a pay rate of $21–$26 per hour depending on experience and location, with opportunities to advance to supervisory roles.

Qualifications

• No formal teaching experience required but experience with kids in classroom, tutoring, coaching, or similar is a plus.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Able to lead a class solo (12 kids) or with an assistant (25 kids).

Responsibilities

• Lead a Saturday class for kids aged 6-11 or 8-14.
• Deliver engaging technology-based activities and projects.
• Safely manage equipment and materials across sites.

• Job Level:Entry Level (less than 2 years)

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our Saturday program.

10 Week Saturday Program starting on September 26

In-room with kids ages 6-11 or 8-14

PAID training!

No formal experience required

Spend Saturdays with AMAZING students having fun with technology!

General Requirements:

Located within driving distance of one of our partner regions and reliable transportation

Experience with children in an educational setting preferred but not required

Strong technology skills are preferred, such as 3D modeling,coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, digital arts, competitive gaming, significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, etc.

Available to start online training immediately upon hire (train at your own pace via our online portal)

Must be authorized to work in the United States. We are unable to offer accommodations or work sponsorship.

Must be available to work all 10 weeks

Must love working with kids!

Lead Instructor Requirements:

21 years of age or older

College graduates with a degree in education, digital arts, computer science, information technology or related fields and/or significant relevant work experience are ideal. Graduating college seniors with student teaching experience are also encouraged to apply.

Experience teaching kids is not required, but the ideal candidate will have some experience with kids in a formal or informal setting (classroom, volunteering, childcare, tutoring, coaching, etc.)

Ability to lead a class of up to 12 kids solo and 25 kids with an assistant in a classroom setting

Ability to manage and safely transfer equipment between sites as needed for various classes
