Job summary

Black Rocket Productions LLC is seeking enthusiastic Lead Instructors for after-school programs in New Jersey. You will guide students aged 8–14 through project-based learning in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, game design, and more. Sessions run after school, part-time, hourly, with paid training.

No formal teaching experience required, but background in technology or teaching is preferred. Must be 21+ and comfortable managing a class of up to 12 students.

Qualifications

• Must be available after school hours (approx. 3:00–5:00 PM), Mon–Fri
• Lead Instructors must be at least 21 years old and have experience with children ages 8–14
• Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required
• Comfortable managing teacher-to-student ratios of 12:1

Responsibilities

• Lead students through Black Rocket’s project-based curriculum in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, game design and more
• Guide class sessions and ensure safety, engagement and collaboration
• Assist with PAID training and ongoing program development

Requirements

Lead Instructors must be at least 21 years of age and haveexperience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, both areeven better!

Experience with children in an educational setting is preferredbut not required

Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 12:1

Strong technology skills preferred, such as a background in 3Dmodeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design,animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitivegaming, etc. or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox,including modding or streaming

This is an after-school, part-time, hourly position

$20/hr - $23/hr

Experience and Skills

Requirements

21 years of age or older

College graduates with a degree in education, digital arts,computer science, information technology or related fields and/orsignificant relevant work experience are ideal. Graduating collegeseniors with student teaching experience are also encouraged to apply.

Experience teaching kids is not required, but the ideal candidatewill have some experience with kids in a formal or informalsetting (classroom, volunteering, childcare, tutoring, coaching, etc.)

Ability to lead a class of up to 12 kids solo and 25 kids with anassistant in a classroom setting

Ability to manage and safely transfer equipment between sites asneeded for various classes

Rate: $21-$26 depending on experience, location, and availability
