Job summary

Black Rocket Productions after-school program seeks an enthusiastic Technology Teacher to guide students through coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing and game design using project-based learning. The role is part-time and hourly, with paid training and a 10-week session structure for a full school year.

Available after school hours (2:00–6:00 PM), Monday–Friday, with a strong focus on safe, engaging instruction for ages 8–14 and a 20:1 classroom ratio.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed 48 college units or passed the NCLB Exam or equivalent.
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred.
• Available after school hours 2:00–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday.
• Must be at least 21 years old with significant experience with children 8–14.
• Strong technology skills in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, or Roblox/Minecraft.
• Paid training provided.

Responsibilities

• Lead students through project-based learning in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing and game design.
• Provide in-room teaching experience with excited students.
• Support a 20:1 student ratio in an after-school setting.
• Participate in monthly sessions across the school year.

After School Technology Teacher

We think we're preparing kids for tomorrow. Kids just think it's cool!

Are you passionate about computer science, video games, coding, Python, Roblox, app design, digital movies, robotics, drones, Minecraft or STEM?

We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after school programs. Lead instructors guide students through our world class, project based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design and more!

• Full school year in 10 week sessions, with options to continue into additional seasons
• Get in-room teaching experience with excited students
• No formal experience required, but teaching experience in some capacity highly preferred
• PAID training!

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Completed 48 college units minimally OR have taken and passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred
• Must be available after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday
• Consistent attendance is REQUIRED, substitutes are not available
• Instructors must be at least 21 years of age and have significant experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology, both is even better!
• Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required
• Comfortable working with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers
• Strong technology skills preferred, such as a background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game creation or design, animation, robotics, modifying games, video editing, competitive gaming, etc. or significant knowledge of Minecraft or Roblox, including modding or streaming
