Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County seeks AmeriCorps STEM Specialists to support hands-on, informal STEM learning across multiple Utah County sites during the 2026-2027 school year, including Orem, Provo, and Pleasant Grove.

This part-time, in-person role runs weekday afternoons August through May, requires 300 service hours per term, and offers a living allowance of $4,800 per term plus an Education Award on completion.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 and US citizenship or lawful permanent residency.
• Experience working with children in educational or community settings.
• Knowledge of youth development principles and positive youth development.
• Ability to motivate youth and manage behavior in group settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM lessons during weekly sessions at Boys & Girls Clubs.
• Maintain lesson plans and track student participation.
• Complete timesheets and monthly progress reports.
• Evaluate student progress using simple rubrics and surveys.
• Ensure safety and positive conduct during activities.
