Job summary

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County is seeking three AmeriCorps STEM Specialists to support TEEN programs in Provo and Payson for the 2026-2027 school year. You will lead hands-on STEM lessons, track participation, and help youth develop STEM skills; the schedule is 12–16 hours per week.

This is a term-of-service position with a living allowance of $4,800 per term and an Education Award on completion. Hours are afternoons, Monday through Friday, August 2026 through May 2027.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• United States citizen or legal permanent resident.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Meet CNCS requirements.
• Experience working with children.
• Knowledge of youth development.
• Motivated to work with youth and manage behavior.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM lessons during the allocated weekly time.
• Maintain records of lesson plans and track data on students served.
• Complete weekly timesheets and a monthly report.
• Evaluate youth progress using surveys and rubrics.
• Build positive relationships with youth, families, staff and teammates.
• Promote program participation and provide guidance and role modeling.
• Demonstrate leadership to ensure conduct, safety and development of members.
• Oversee safety and program quality; monitor services and activities.
• Participate in weekly meetings and grant-required training.
