Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County is seeking an AmeriCorps STEM Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. The role involves working part-time, approximately 12-16 hours weekly, delivering STEM education to youth at the Club.

The candidate should be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma (or GED), and have experience working with children. The role requires building relationships and guiding members through various programs, ensuring their safety and development.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of age.
• United States citizen or legal permanent resident.
• CPR and First Aid certifications may be required.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Lead STEM lessons at the Boys & Girls Club.
• Maintain records of lesson plans and evaluation progress.
• Supervise indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety.

Skills

Experience in working with children

Knowledge of youth development

Motivated to manage behavior problems

Ability to organize and supervise in a safe environment
