Job summary

SMS group USA seeks a sales/proposal engineer to coordinate the technical aspects of the sales process. You will work with the Sales, Engineering and Automation teams to develop and edit technical proposals, ensuring cost effectiveness and feasibility. Domestic and international travel may be required.

The role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. A BS in engineering and 5 years of design/proposal experience are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate references with Sales/Engineering/Automation teams for proposals.
• Coordinate project activities in the proposal stage.
• Write and edit proposals.
• Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects with estimator.
• Coordinate layout and engineering work for proposals.
• Present proposals to customers and travel as required.
