Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Production Equipment Operator to join our team. This hourly, non-exempt role focuses on reading and executing work orders to meet customer requirements while adhering to Safe Methods of Work under the supervision of the Operations Manager.

The position involves operating and maintaining metalworking equipment, handling materials, and complying with safety protocols in a fast-paced environment. Overtime may be required to fulfill orders and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand work orders or receive oral instructions.
• Ability to use basic computer applications.
• Demonstrate intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels.
• Ability to plan and organize work activities independently or in a team.
• Develop knowledge of material and inventory control procedures.
• Maintain inter-department communications regarding routing, safety, and customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work and report unsafe conditions.
• Manipulate, cut, and form raw material per work orders.
• Operate tools and equipment safely (e.g., tape measure, caliper, saw, CNC table).
• Lift up to 25–40 lbs; stand, walk, and climb as needed.
• Maintain spatial awareness in a busy shop environment.
• Move safely around areas with moving machinery and noise.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Attend required meetings and perform other duties as assigned.
