Job summary

Triple-S Steel Holdings, Inc. in Odessa, TX seeks a Production Equipment Operator to read and execute work orders and safely operate steel production equipment. This hourly, non-exempt role reports to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager and may require overtime to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to correctly read and understand work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments.
• Ability to effectively use basic computer applications.
• Demonstrate intermediate math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to safely meet or exceed minimum productivity levels.
• Ability to plan and organize work activities independently and in a team.
• Knowledge of material and inventory control techniques.
• Ability to communicate with other departments regarding routing, safety, and customer relations.

Responsibilities

• Follow safe methods of work at all times and report unsafe conditions.
• Manipulate, cut and form raw material according to work orders to meet customer requirements.
• Operate tools and equipment listed in responsibilities safely and efficiently.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds for up to 20 feet; move objects and climb as required.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Attend required company meetings.
• Other duties may be assigned.
