Job summary

CF&I Steel, L.P. in Pueblo, CO seeks a Steel Production Worker to support production and finishing mills. The role emphasizes safety, operating mills, cranes, conveyors, and related equipment in a high-temperature, high-noise environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining equipment, following SOPs, and coordinating with mill staff. Candidates should be able to perform physically demanding tasks, work 3-shift rotations, and have HS diploma or GED preferred. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of tools and equipment used for industrial purposes.
• Understanding of basic manufacturing processes; familiar with heavy industry/manufacturing.
• Ability to safely operate power and hand tools, machinery and mobile equipment.
• Able to convey and understand information effectively and safely, including public address systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment in the steel production environment.
• Adhere to safety rules and procedures, including OSHA 10 where required.
• Assist maintenance personnel and report abnormal conditions.
• Keep work area clean and orderly and follow SOPs.
• Work with mill personnel to maintain production across shifts.
