Atlantic Track & Turnout Co. in Richmond, IL, seeks a shop superintendent to lead the second shift, driving safe CNC production and meeting quality and delivery targets.

You’ll mentor Laborers and Machinists, enforce procedures, and maintain robust training programs. This on-site role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 8+ years in CNC manufacturing, 5+ years in management, and experience with heavy equipment, welding certs, and CNC certs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 8+ years CNC manufacturing experience preferred.
• 5+ years of manufacturing leadership/management experience.
• CNC machining and heavy equipment operation proficiency required.
• Welding certifications and CNC certification or related training encouraged.
• Proficiency with documentation and procedure development in a manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Guide second-shift production to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.
• Write and enforce procedures; document training and ensure team understanding of the work.
• Mentor Laborers and Machinists; coach and develop team capabilities.
• Oversee heavy equipment operations; reinforce safe practices across shifts.
• Coordinate with site and corporate leadership for alignment and resource planning.

As our next shop superintendent in Richmond, Illinois, you’ll mentor a talented crew, scale safe CNC operations, and shape the nightly rhythm of a high-impact facility.Your missionGuide second-shift production to consistently hit safety, quality, and delivery targets while modeling hands-on leadership. You’ll write and enforce procedures, document training, and ensure every teammate understands the why behind the work.
