As our next shop superintendent in Richmond, Illinois, you’ll mentor a talented crew, scale safe CNC operations, and shape the nightly rhythm of a high-impact facility.Your missionGuide second-shift production to consistently hit safety, quality, and delivery targets while modeling hands-on leadership. You’ll write and enforce procedures, document training, and ensure every teammate understands the why behind the work. When challenges arise—tight tolerances on a steel part, a material-handling bottleneck, or a documentation gap—you’ll turn them into teachable moments and lasting improvements.Onboarding and hoursTraining: Monday–Friday, 7:00am–3:30pm (First Shift)Ongoing schedule: Monday–Thursday, 3:00pm–1:30am (Second Shift)Work arrangement: On-site at our Richmond, IL facilityScope of leadershipPlan, organize, and directly participate in operations of the St. Clair site; drive best-in-class daily workflow in accordance with the Atlantic Track business planOwn safety: create clear procedures for each area; maintain robust, documented training programsMachine steel to required specifications and ensure quality standards are metCultivate trust, coach Laborers and Machinists, and achieve production and warehousing goalsPartner with site and corporate leadership for alignment and resource coordinationSupervise heavy equipment operations and reinforce safe practicesMaintain complete, accurate, and on-time paperworkDevelop expertise in materials and processes to better support the teamWhat you’ll need to succeedHigh school diploma or equivalent (GED, HiSET, TASC, etc.)At least 8 years of CNC experience in manufacturingAt least 5 years of management experience in manufacturingAbility to collaborate with and support leaders across all management levelsLicense or prior experience operating heavy equipment; welding certifications; CNC machining certification or experienceProficiency in CNC machining and producing steel products, including machining steelWilling and able to obtain internal forklift and overhead crane operation certificationComfort lifting and maneuvering up to 50 lbs.PreferredBachelor’s degree in a related fieldDemonstrated success recruiting, hiring, training, developing, and motivating peopleOwnership-minded rewardsAtlantic Track offers a holistic benefits package, including competitive pay, 401k plan with company matching funds, health / dental / vision insurance options, life insurance, paid time off, an employee shared ownership plan, and more.We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
