Atlantic Track & Turnout Co. is seeking a 2nd Shift Manual Machine Operator I to support on-site machining operations in Richmond, Illinois. The role involves setting up and running manual milling machines, reading production drawings, and maintaining quality documentation.

The position supports a 2nd shift (Mon-Thu, 3:00pm–1:30am) with training in 1st shift (Mon-Fri, 7:00am–3:30pm) before transition. A high school diploma or GED with 2+ years machining experience is required, along with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years machining experience.
• Ability to read and understand production drawings and tolerances.
• Adequate machining knowledge – feeds, speeds, chip load; ability to work overtime.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run manual milling machines; adjust offsets as needed.
• Maintain organized work area and document quality checks.
• Load/unload parts with crane; assist with tooling and machine issues.
• Read measuring devices to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Support team with quality documentation and safety practices.

This position will directly assist with machining within the facility and contribute as a vital part of the production process for specialty trackwork.This role will support our 2nd shift, which works Monday through Thursday from 3:00pm to 1:30am.
