Job summary

Olympic Steel is seeking a Customer Service Representative to maintain and grow accounts within an assigned territory. You will respond to customer inquiries, discuss material and processing requirements, and propose value-added options based on customer needs.

You will identify available materials to meet specifications, address delivery issues, and resolve complaints by partnering with internal teams, while monitoring quotes to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related sales experience.
• 1+ years of related experience.
• Knowledge of steel industry and product knowledge a plus.
• Skilled at customer service and sales.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries in a timely manner.
• Discuss material and processing requirements with customers and suggest value-added options/solutions.
• Identify materials available to meet order specifications based on product requirements and profitability.
• Resolve customer complaints and claims by partnering with internal teams and monitor status of quotes.
