Job summary

Accounting Search is seeking an Account Manager/Sales Representative for the Lordstown, Ohio area. You will manage a portfolio of customer accounts, grow new business, and coordinate with internal teams to optimize demand, pricing, and inventory while delivering profitable growth.

The role requires a relationship-driven sales approach, familiarity with steel products, and the ability to travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Experience in account management, outside sales, business development, or related customer-facing roles.
• Steel industry experience strongly preferred (steel service centers, flat-rolled steel, metal processing or related).
• Knowledge of flat-rolled steel products, customer applications, pricing, inventory management desirable.
• Experience selling to OEMs, fabricators, manufacturers or other industrial customers is a plus.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow relationships with an established base of customer accounts.
• Identify, pursue, and develop new customers and profitable business opportunities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and understand their business, products, and requirements.
• Plan and conduct customer visits, sales calls, presentations, and commercial discussions.
• Negotiate pricing, volumes, terms, and other commercial considerations.
• Monitor customer requirements and coordinate inventory levels to support demand.
• Collaborate with purchasing, operations, and internal teams to meet customer expectations.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and communicate changing customer and market conditions.
• Share relevant sales and purchasing intelligence with leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor account performance with emphasis on profitable, sustainable growth.
• Manage company resources and expenses responsibly.
• Travel to customer locations as needed.
