6 Degrees Search represents an established steel processing and distribution organization seeking an Account Manager / Sales Representative in the Lordstown, Ohio area. You will grow an existing customer base while actively developing new opportunities and coordinating with internal teams to optimize pricing, inventory, and performance.

You will own a portfolio of accounts, travel to client sites, negotiate terms and pricing, and deliver forecast insights to leadership to drive profitable growth.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• This role requires prior experience in account management, outside sales, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
• Steel industry experience strongly preferred, particularly within a steel service center, flat-rolled steel, metal processing, distribution, or related manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of flat-rolled steel products, pricing dynamics, inventory management, and/or steel processing capabilities is highly desirable.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Ability and willingness to travel as business needs require.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and grow relationships with an established base of customer accounts.
• Identify, pursue, and develop new customers and profitable business opportunities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and develop a strong understanding of their business, products, and ongoing requirements.
• Plan and conduct customer visits, sales calls, presentations, and commercial discussions.
• Negotiate pricing, volumes, terms, and other commercial considerations.
• Monitor customer requirements and coordinate inventory levels to support demand.
• Work collaboratively with purchasing, operations, and other internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.
• Provide accurate sales forecasts and communicate changing customer and market conditions.
• Share relevant sales and purchasing intelligence with leadership and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor account performance with an emphasis on profitable, sustainable growth.
• Manage company resources and business expenses responsibly.
• Travel to customer locations and other business-related destinations as needed.
