Keystone Distinction Group in the steel processing and distribution industry is seeking an experienced Account Manager / Sales Representative for the Lordstown, Ohio area. You will own a portfolio of customer accounts and grow business by strengthening relationships while actively developing new opportunities.

You will coordinate with customers and internal teams to manage demand, inventory, pricing, and account performance, pursue new business, and travel to customer locations as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent real-world experience in a customer-facing role.
• Experience in account management, outside sales, or business development.
• Steel industry experience is strongly preferred, with knowledge of steel products and supply chains.
• Strong communication, relationship-building and negotiation skills.

The Opportunity

Our client, an established and highly respected organization in the steel processing and distribution industry, is seeking an experienced Account Manager / Sales Representative to join its team in the Lordstown, Ohio area.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional who understands the steel industry and knows how to grow business by strengthening existing customer relationships while actively developing new opportunities.

The successful candidate will take ownership of a portfolio of customer accounts, working closely with customers and internal teams to manage demand, inventory, pricing, and overall account performance. This individual will also identify and pursue new business opportunities that contribute to profitable, long-term growth.

What You'll Do

• Manage and grow relationships with an established base of customer accounts.
• Identify, pursue, and develop new customers and profitable business opportunities.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for customers and develop a strong understanding of their business, products, and ongoing requirements.
• Plan and conduct customer visits, sales calls, presentations, and commercial discussions.

• Work collaboratively with purchasing, operations, and other internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met.

• Monitor account performance with an emphasis on profitable, sustainable growth.
• Manage company resources and business expenses responsibly.
• Travel to customer locations and other business-related destinations as needed.

What We're Looking For

• Our client is looking for an energetic, commercially minded professional who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and creating new business. Candidates with direct experience in the steel industry will be strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• Previous experience in account management, outside sales, business development, or a related customer-facing role.
• Steel industry experience strongly preferred, particularly within a steel service center, flat-rolled steel, metal processing, distribution, or related manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of flat-rolled steel products, customer applications, pricing dynamics, inventory management, and/or steel processing capabilities is highly desirable.
• Experience selling to OEMs, fabricators, manufacturers, or other industrial customers is a plus.
• Strong communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to balance customer service with profitability and broader business objectives.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
• Comfort working with sales forecasts, inventory considerations, pricing, and customer demand.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability and willingness to travel as business needs require.
