Job summary

Luna Community College seeks a Rough Rider Mentorship Teacher Assistant to support a multi-disciplinary after-school curriculum for K-12 students. You will assist Lead Teachers, facilitate hands-on projects, and help students bridge gaps across Science, Tech, Trades, and more.

The role is part-time and non-exempt, with 10 hours per week during the school year and seasonal adjustments in summer, reporting to the Early Childhood Instruction department.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record in at least two STEAHM-related fields.
• Experience working with K-12 children preferred.
• Must pass background clearance for working with minors.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Teachers in delivering STEAHM-based lessons.
• Lead small groups and ensure safety during activities.
• Set up and maintain materials for daily experiments and projects.
• Track attendance and report on student engagement.
