Job summary

Luna Community College is seeking a Rough Rider Mentorship Teacher to run an after-school STEAHM program for K-12 students, delivering hands-on projects and workshops across science, engineering, and the arts.

The role requires high energy, strong classroom management, and the ability to engage diverse learners while coordinating with the Program Director. Compensation is $25.00/hr, non-exempt, casual, with 10 scheduled hours per week on-site.

Qualifications

• Strong academic record in at least two STEAHM fields.
• Experience working with K-12 children preferred.
• Must pass Luna Community College background clearance for working with minors.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate after-school STEAHM-based lessons and hands-on projects.
• Design age-appropriate activities and enroll students in the program.
• Maintain safety, track attendance, and report to the Program Director.
• Lead small groups and supervise labs and shops during activities.
