Job summary

KBR is seeking a Stationary Engineer to support a government client in Aurora, Colorado. The role focuses on monitoring chiller and generator plants, directing utility plant operations, and ensuring 24/7 continuity of critical facilities with strict safety and environmental compliance.

The candidate will oversee contractor personnel, implement preventive maintenance, and respond rapidly to incidents to safeguard data integrity and mission success.

Qualifications

• Clearance required: TS/SCI with polygraph.
• Seven (7) years of facilities operations experience.
• Current certification or license complying with State and Local requirements or willingness to obtain within 90 days.
• Experience managing facility management, operations and sustainment projects.
• Proficient in applying project management concepts (schedule, scope, cost, risk, deliverables).
• Willing to operate in a 24/7/365 environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor maintenance and operation of the chiller and generator plants.
• Direct the operations and maintenance of the site's utility plants and distribution equipment.
• Ensure continuity of critical operations with 24/7 mission support.
• Provide oversight to 24/7 teams, technicians and vendors with safety and standards compliance.
• Implement preventive maintenance programs and monitor environmental controls.
• Enforce standards to meet contractual, regulatory and environmental requirements.
• Use data analysis to improve equipment performance cost-effectively.
• Respond rapidly to emergencies to safeguard data integrity and operations.
• Manage training plans for 24/7 employees.
