Job summary

State of Georgia seeks an Intensive Services Coordinator-JVSG to support veterans by coordinating specialized services and referrals through the JVSG program in the Office of Workforce Development.

You will collaborate with DVOP specialists, VR&E, and partners to connect veterans and eligible persons with employment and training resources, while providing training and monitoring outcomes. Strong MS Office skills and relevant degrees/experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher and related experience required.
• Two (2) years related work experience - Note: Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
• Two (2) years of experience at the lower-level Employment Services Specialist or position equivalent.
• Completion of an undergraduate degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, Behavioral Sciences, or related field preferred.
• A minimum of two years of experience serving special needs populations with Qualifying Barriers to Employment and delivering Case Management services.
• One year of experience leading/facilitating groups and monitoring reviews.
• Experience collaborating with workforce development programs, vocational rehabilitation programs, or veteran-serving organizations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Serve as statewide liaison and intensive services coordinator for JVSG, coordinating with federal, state, and community partners.
• Coordinate referrals between JVSG and partner programs to ensure timely connections to services.
• Provide technical assistance, guidance, and training to JVSG staff and partner organizations.
• Monitor participant progress and outcomes, and ensure effective case coordination.
• Develop and maintain relationships with employers and veteran service organizations.
• Assist with statewide outreach and partnership development for JVSG services.
