NJ Department of Environmental Protection is seeking staff to provide front-line and behind-the-scenes customer and support services at Swartswood State Park. Responsibilities include registering campers, handling reservations, answering inquiries, and performing clerical duties.

The role operates on-site, with a 35-hour work week and a non-negotiable salary of $37,724.21. Candidate duties include telephone coverage, handling complaints, collecting fees, and selling park passes and merchandise,

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or training is required.
• Ability to manage high volumes of phone and in-person inquiries.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to the general public and perform clerical duties.
• Register campers and address reservation issues, and provide phone coverage.
• Field complaints, collect fees, and sell State Park Passes and park merchandise.
• Operate toll booths and prepare daily revenue and attendance reports.
• Perform additional duties as required and work on-site.
