Job summary

The State of New Jersey’s Department of Environmental Protection seeks staff to provide front-line customer service at Swartswood State Park, handling registrations, inquiries, and payments. The role requires on-site work seven days a week year-round and involves processing fees, selling passes and merchandise, and maintaining daily financial reports.

Open to the general public with a 35-hour work week and a non-negotiable salary.

Qualifications

• Microsoft Suite, including Outlook.
• Customer service training and experience - ability to effectively manage high volumes of phone and in-person inquiries.
• Ability to provide good customer service.

Responsibilities

• Registering campers and addressing reservation issues.
• Providing phone coverage and fielding complaints.
• Collecting fees, selling State Park Passes and Park Merchandise.
• Operating the toll booth and performing daily revenue reports.
• Compiling and submitting revenue and attendance reports.
